Stone Island x Sportiva (2004)

The Stone Island x La Sportiva collaboration debuted in 2004, marking Stone Island’s first-ever partnership. This Italian alliance fused Stone Island’s technical fashion with La Sportiva’s climbing expertise, resulting in hybrid footwear that predated the gorpcore trend.

The collection featured both low- and high-top climbing shoes, distinguished by full-length lacing, thick rubber soles, and co-branded details on the tongue and heel. The high-top versions, with their military-inspired silhouettes, echoed Stone Island’s utilitarian aesthetic.
